Dear Erin, Moving the the UK and becoming involved in the British Stammering Association had something to do with developing a broader additude to stammering. Before that, my framework was always to reduce stammering absolutely as much as possible, which of course leaves you exposed to the anxiety and loss of control at the times when stammering becomes more obvious. Add to that a greater insensivity to what people might think if I stammer. What others think is really none of my business. The bottom line is that the sun will rise the next morning if I stammer and nobody is really cares that much. Either I say what I need to (with a good level of contol most times) or I don't, and wear the consequences. That's what it boils down to. Hope this helps. Andrew
