I am a SLP graduate student that really enjoyed your article. Even though I am not a stutterer, I could relate to your feelings at your class reunion. When I was in elementary school and junior high, I had a monstrous gap between my two front teeth that I was always teased about. My teeth came up in a random conversation with a former high school classmate and she couldn't remember my awful teeth. I couldn't believe it because the emotional scars from junior high still bother me when I look at past pictures. I guess everybody was too worried about themselves to remember the faults of others! I think that is nice to know!
