Just as many other SLP graduate students have mentioned, I also found it interesting to hear an honest opinion of stuttering therapy from a parent's point of view. This article helped me to realize how extremely important parental involvement is in ANY speech-language therapy session not JUST stuttering therapy. I was very impressed with the author's "transition from waiting room fixture to informed advocate". I believe that the field of speech-language pathology would change immensely if more parents had the motivation or desire to make the same transition.
