Being a teenage is tough. Self-image is everything. There's no one-shot advice. Friends, family and therapists have to keep on the theme: You're more than your speech. Emphasize the positives. Be proud of your achievemehts. Better to talk and stutter than keep silent out of fear. Also, get them involved in support groups; especially Friends and the NSA. Encourage them to talk about their stuttering, be open about it. Keep doing this. Change is a process not an instant hit. Keep at it. Marty
