I am a 1st year graduate student in Speech Pathology at West Virginia University and I just wanted to tell you how I found your paper to be very inspirational! You provide great information that is useful for everyone, whether they stutter or not. I really liked how you pointed out how stutterers have an advantage over others in certain situations. I have never really thought about it before, but I completely agree. Many stutters have to be persistent and creative to break through barriers that may be holding them back. These two qualities are very important for a person to possess if they want to be chosen by a future employer. I also liked how you stated that a person who stutters should say what they do because they stutter. Letting someone know how involved you are in understanding your stuttering and showing how you want to help others with the same problem is a great way to impress anyone. I am sure I will be able to use the information in this paper to prepare myself and exude confidence when I venture out into the real world to find my first job as a speech pathologist. Thank you!
