Mr. Roden, I read this paper first because the title caught my attention. “The Tears Will Fade.” That in itself is such a powerful message. I thought you made a strong argument about educating others, for it is the only way that individuals will understand stuttering or things that are “different.” Educating others is such an important component when dealing with a variety of issues. People fear the unknown, and until more and more information gets out about stuttering, ignorance, whether intentional or not, will still persist. I also loved how you ended the paper. “Use smiles more than frowns and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.” What a positive note for individuals to end on!
