Hi Alison, thanks for your comments and your question. Yes, it's imporant to try and boost confidence and self-esteem in kids, so they can feel more well equipped to deal with anything that comes their way. The turning point for me was getting my self-esteem back, realising that what the bullies said wasn't true made such a difference to me. You have to try to get that message to the kids - what they are saying about you isn't true, and it's their problem. Difficult to believe for some kids, but an important message all the same.
