I would have liked the late presenter to have known that I found his paper very interesting. I wholeheartedly agree that anticipatory fear is an important factor, and recognise (from many personal encounters) that some PWS, understandably, lack good inter-personal skills. This is not surprising when many have remained on the fringes of conversation throughout their lives. I also believe that self-disclosure can be usefully achieved by voluntary/pseudo stuttering. It really can take the weight of the shoulders of a PWS when the listener is made aware that the speaker is likely to experience difficulties. Kindest regards Alan
