Dear Sophie, Thanks for your question. I apologize for the delay in responding. I am out of the country and, to date, have not had consistent access to the internet. Yes, I have thought a lot about the use of "Living With Stuttering: Stories, Basics, Resources, and Hope" for the general public. It is absolutely appropriate for people on the street. In fact, shortly after it was released, a journalist wrote several summaries and sent them to local newspapers around the country. These were well received. Like most of the SFA publications (See the paper by Jane Fraser), my book is quite appropriate for public libraries. You may wish to contact your local library and suggest that they order a copy for the general public. The more people know about stuttering, the better for those of us who stutter (or have stuttered). Best wishes, Ken
