I would like to thank you for writing about your project and describing some of the information you learned while completing the project. I am currently a graduate student at the College of St. Rose and have 2 clients who stutter. As you mentioned, telling one's story can be a form of healing, which I have also found true with one of my clients. During therapy one of my clients mentioned that talking about it has seemed to help, just as the people in your book stated. Knowing that telling one's story has been helpful to many people encourages me to provide my clients with the opportunity to speak about his/her story. I was not sure if talking about his/her story was something that only my client found beneficial or if this was a generalized thought, so thank you for writing this informative article and answering this question of mine.
