Hi Paige, as with all important questions, there is no one answer to yours. I believe that there cab be time for the clinician to share their story with the client, once the client has shared theirs. But it depends how and when it is done. Obviously, we cannot enter a "let's compare problems" place, nor can we rank problems. But I think there are times when talking about overcoming obstacles, when talking about that it's normal for many people, stutter or not, to feel uncomfortable in social situations for any number of reasons. Often, people who stutter like to think that stuttering is very different from other things. It is not. Take care, Joe K.
