I thoroughly enjoyed your article and how you encourage clinicians to be a “coach” in your client’s lives and to make a difference in what we do. I also loved how you encourage clinicians to challenge their clients. “Clinicians must also challenge their clients. This includes challenging their belief systems regarding stuttering, challenging their typical actions and coping mechanisms and challenging their willingness to take risks or to try something different. Great clinicians empower their clients to objectively evaluate their performance through increased self-awareness and self-monitoring abilities.” By challenging out clients we are pushing them to another level and allowing them to go places they may have once believed were out of reach. Great article!
