Lindsay, Relative to an activity that helps with holding onto stuttering, you can use a simple tactile cue such as touching the adult client's hand or arm, indicating he/she should hold onto the stutter until you remove the tactile cue. This is only one of scores of possible ideas in working on this concept with adults. Thanks for your question
