I would like to say thank you for the valuable information and research done on the SpeechEasy device. Research on devices such as the SpeechEasy are potentially very valuable to future SLP's such as myself. As I read through the variety of cases and responses, I began to wonder whether the SpeechEasy was on board with the goals of traditional stuttering treatment. The SpeechEasy seems to be making some of the IWS feel comfortable by helping them not stutter. As we have all learned, it is important to understand that there is no cure. It seems that the SpeechEasy is contradicting the main goal of treatment; making IWS comfortable WITH their stuttering. Again thank you for the interesting research!
