Thanks for your insightful reply, Sachin. This week I'm working in another school talking about stuttering in 15 (!) classes to children from 6-21 years. We not only talk about stuttering but also about bullying and respect, about all having something we're not good at and all having something we're better at than others. And that those who have a disability often become better at something else. And the teachers are amazed about the interaction from the children. And today, when I cross the school yard, they shout "Hi Anita", want to sit with me for lunch and even ask for my autograph! One of them said "I too want to stutter", as he thinks stuttering is cool and wants to come to our children camps. They will also try to paint with their mouthes and feet, walk around blindfolded and have a wheelchair race. I can't say this often enough: we must talk about things like stuttering and what is and is not ok. If we start with the children, we can minimize the bullying and put forward those who found a way to have a great life despite different kinds of set backs. You wrote: "So, when one door is closed, nature opens five more." So right to the point! Happy ISAD! Anita
