Dear Saumya I am not sure how the perception of disability varies across diverse socio-economic groups; My understanding is that in most Asian cultures, disability is something to be ashamed of- because it is not just waht it appears on surface- It also bespeaks of some bad karma in some past life.. So people hide such children and rarely seek help / therapy.. If your cousin can travel to Dehradun, our support group could help him, I guess.. Our support groups is vsiitng PWS/CWS in villages and schools, organises group activities for them, scree movies like Unspeakable (with Hindi gist), distributes literature etc..
