I enjoyed reading this article very much. I am a first semester graduate student studying speech language pathology. I know that in today's society many of the children we may see for speech come from divorced households. Parent's generally have shared custody of the child. I imagine this circumstance might hinder the effectiveness of the LP. I was wondering with the LP if both parents who had custody of the child would have to have active involvement with the program to achieve the desired results? Would the child be able to generalize his/her stuttering behavior from home to home?
