You mention that adults who stutter felt that by having their parents attempt to help them led to embarrassment or resentment. Have you personally worked with children who stutter that have parents who stutter or did stutter? How does this help the child in therapy? Do they appreciate their parent’s help, or do they see that their parent still stutters and that their stuttering will not improve? Thank you for the insightful article.
