Good question. But is sounds to me that you are really asking is always good to bring the CHILD to therapy. If you have a concerned parent but an unconcerned child, should just the parent come? One problem with this however, relates to reimbursement. Most insurance companies will not pay for a treatment session if the "client" (as they define client) is not present. So... even we believe we want to work with a parent (and not the child yet) the child must be present.
