How does a clinician diagnose covert stuttering? Is it enough to go on what the client says is occurring? How would the clinician know if his/her method of therapy is working or if he/she has to change methods if he/she never saw signs of the disorder to begin with? Is it just all relying on what the client reports? What about children that are covert stutters? Or is it mostly adults that are seen for this kind of therapy? Thank you!
