Yes, there is some research that LSVT works but it uses alot of explicit learning and implicit learning techniques. We simply do not know if one/or both of these components are necessary. I have heard that the practice component and intensive drill/repetition is simply not necessary because this is the implicit component and Patients have impaired implicit learning anyway. I would love to do more studies of fluency therapy to see the correct balance of explicit vs implicit learning techniques, especially if people who stutter do have difficulties with some aspects of implicit learning. More research is needed. Thank-you for your comment.
