Hello, thanks for an interesting article. I found the comparison of teens and parents responses interesting. Parents seem to underestimate the impact in school, avoidance and social impact dimensions but over estimate embarassment and being bullied. I wonder if this refects more that embarassment and concern about bullying are in the forefront of parents minds more than the other dimensions right from the moment that their child starts to stutter. I'm just thinking about my experience in working with parents of chidlren who stutter and even from early on they say 'I don't want him to get bullied'. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these differences.
