I really enjoyed this paper and thought many of the statistics were very telling. Several of the post followed the statistics based on the discrepancy of parental impression and child reality and how to keep the parents involved later in therapy. My question is how do we reach the parents sooner? When looking at this profession as a whole, do we inform the parents or promote education about stuttering early enough? What can we do to keep an open dialogue between child and parent so the parents have a better understanding earlier to minimize the later discrepancies? Thanks for your time!
