I have had students create their own crimes. But, they tend to get a little violent sounding. Maybe they are watching too many crime shows. I try to gear them towards more "peer-related" crimes. I did let them chose their crime once, but no one chose the stuttering "convictions". So, I went back to assigning them. Thanks for your comment!
